JOB SUMMARY This job is responsible for overseeing the work activities and transactions in the cashiering area. This includes ensuring sufficient manpower, especially during peak hours by implementing effective shift management of personnel. This also includes training the cashiering team towards delivering the company’s vision. JOB DEscriptION 1. Cash and POS ManagementEnsuring the availability of coins and bills for enough change fundTaking responsibility for void car and using it properly.Ensuring accurate X and Z reading are done by the Head Cashiers at the end of the day.Responsible for checking the short and over of the cashiers and encourages accuracy at all times.Ensuring POS inventory, BIR Stickers and other documents and machines are well accounted for.Ensures the availability of swiping machines on the counters.Coordinates with ICT for connectivity, POS technical issues.2. Supplies ManagementEnsures the availability of plastic, cashiering supplies, ribbon/thermal paper, stapler, etc. at all times.Conserves supplies to ensure no wastage is done (no double plastic).Ensures availability and good condition of pushcarts, baskets, and basket carts.3. Quick, Efficient and Courteous Check-Out ExperienceEfficient customer traffic flow in queuing- not more than 5 customers at a counter.Ensures Cashiers are within the standard handling time per customer. (Fast Handling)Ensures no erroneous transactions are being done by the cashiers.Constantly adjusts to customer flow to ensure no long queues.Coordinates with Selling Operations Supervisor for no barcode/unreadable barcodes encountered during the transaction.Resolves issues at the counter.Ensures proper bagging and packing procedures are being followed by baggers4. Customer Service and InteractionHandles frontline customer complaints and properly endorses to the Customer Service Store Manager for those that cannot be handled.Ensures Cashiers proper grooming (Uniform, make up, etc) are followed.Ensures Cashiers' spiel is being followed (good morning, ask for GCard, if not recruit, give change, thank you, etc.)Ensures Cashiers and baggers interact with customers in a respectful, courteous, and friendly manner.Ensures recruitment of at least 1 new GCard member per cashier per day.5. Implementation of Cashiering Policies and Procedures.Ensures that all approved cashiering policies and procedures are implemented and followed.6. People and Scheduling ManagementProperly schedule morning, middle, and closing shifts according to the data on peak hours ensuring queues do not take long.Implements Cashiering Training modules as scheduled by the Training Department.Administers incident report ( IR) etc. as needed.Counsels and coaches non-performing cashiers, baggers, and delivery crews.Motivates and encourages on daily basis for the best performance.7. Company InvolvementAbides by the company policies and business unit’s set House Rules.Attends meetings as required by the immediate Head and other departments.Participates in company-initiated activities.Suggest and participates in achieving branch plans and goals.8. Represents and promotes a positive image of the company at all times both on and off the job.9. Performs other related functions as required by the immediate Head. JOB QUALIFICATIonSCandidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent.Preferably Supervisor/5Yr & Up Experienced Employee in retail operations or sales and computer literate.With a background in Cashiering or handling POS machines.With excellent customer service skills.Must be dynamic, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate enthusiasm and marketing aptitude.Must be creative and, must be self-driven and possess strong initiatives.Must have strong leadership, team management, interpersonal skills, and good English verbal/written communication skills.Candidate must be willing to undergo 3-4 months of training in Davao City
