The Packaging Assistant will assist in daily filling operations. He/She will ensure that finished blends are properly packed in their designated containers/packaging and are compliant to quality standards.

Success in this role will require you to fulfill the following responsibilities:

1. Ensure that filling lines run safely with a high level of efficiency.

a. Ensure that filling lines and other equipment used in operations are inspected daily and calibrated.

b. Operate filling line safely and efficiently.

c. Notify Lubricants Packaging Foreman of equipment problems.

e. Perform simple maintenance on equipment during the shift to ensure it is completely functional and is safe to operate.

f. Ensure that finished products are correctly labelled prior transfer to the designated staging area.

g. Ensure that paperwork and minor administrative tasks are completed at the beginning and end of every shift.

h. Conduct daily housekeeping activities at the beginning and end of every shift.

Preferred Qualifications for this Role:At least high school graduatePreferably with experience in operating a filling machine.Aptitude for math, problem-solving and mechanics.Understanding of basic troubleshooting and maintenanceUnderstading of health and safety standardsProblem-solving skillsEffective communicationCritical thinkingReading comprehensionTime managementJudgment and decision makingDetail-oriented and well organized.Team oriented
