Be part of a winning team that leads the way in Enterprise Information Management.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a Security and Risk Professional with international experience to join a dynamic team committed to protecting the safety of our employees around the world. Reporting to the Director, Global Security & Safety based in our head office in Canada, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational expertise to help develop several of our security risk program initiatives. These programs are designed to help create a safe and secure workplace for our employees, operations, and activities throughout the APAC region. The Regional Manager, Global Security and Safety, will play a key support role in the development and execution of the regional security programs including physical security vulnerability and risk assessments, travel risk management, global event security, security systems and technology, as well as executive security support. This position will have regular interaction with the APAC leadership from various functions including business leadership, EH&S, Facilities, BCM, and HR.You will be a highly accountable leader with a deep passion and understanding of security and safety, and you must be comfortable operating in a demanding and fast-paced environment. A demonstrated ability to effectively influence and interact with senior executive management and functional teams is essential.This position will be based within travel distance to either our Singapore, SG or Makati, PH offices.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Responsible for the management and delivery of all physical security services, programs, and initiatives across the APAC regionAssist with the development of our physical security threat and risk assessment program across the regionLead threat assessments, risk assessments, and/or recommend operational and physical mitigation measures to any OpenText office in the region with the need to travel occasionally to visit such officesManage security incident response and assist stakeholders as needed across OpenText APAC offices, and act as the security leader in the event of a regional emergency or disaster in support of the OpenText Business Continuity ProgramAs a member of the Emergency Response Core Team, assist the Business Continuity/Crisis Management Team during any emergency/crisis within the regionMaintain an active role developing and executing security plans for emergency response and key projects with stakeholdersManage outsourced security relationships, consulting with approved vendors to ensure that specified duties are conducted, contractual obligations are met, and corporate standards are maintained  Plan, coordinate, and manage medium to large scale security support for internal and external-facing OpenText events which may require international travel in support of security operationsAssist with the implementation of employee safety programs that aid in the prevention of threats and violence in the workplace and support our incident responseOversee and support our global third-party security services contracts and vendor management for the Philippines and IndiaSupport the security systems team to ensure effective delivery of security systems/real estate projects across the regionWork with various system integrators and collaborate in the coordination of installation and maintenance services.Support regional investigations, in conjunction with regional HR, Legal, and ComplianceDevelop and implement global best practices for the conduct of training and awareness programs for physical security and safetyDevelop dashboards and metrics to measure performance and to keep leadership apprised of security mattersCollaborate in the development of new security and safety programs and assist in the deployment of these programs globally, including the development and maintenance of program policies, processes Provide input to the annual budget/forecasting process, collaborating closely with the Director, Global Security and SafetyWHAT YOU WILL BRING:High degree of knowledge with various aspects of global security risk programs, including security systems technology, security incident management, business continuity, travel and event security, executive protection/journey management, GSOC operations, workplace violence prevention and threat assessment, project managementStrong business acumen with experience in physical security program development and implementation, security governance and risk methodology, employee security awareness trainingDemonstrated ability to lead the management and implementation of security and risk activities at a strategic and operational level, ensuring activities are globally alignedOutstanding relationship management skills and the motivation to work with cross-functional teams in a global environmentEagerness to implement ongoing change to improve the global security and safety operational frameworkUnderstanding of health and safety initiatives and how they relate to global security and risk programsAbility to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work on and prioritize various deliverablesAbility to exercise professional judgement in situations for which there are no established criteria to problem solveFlexibility in work schedule/ability to respond to after-hour or extended events globally5 -10 years of related work experience in a similar role with APAC regional and or international experience, preferably within a global technology organization2+ years working at a program leadership levelBachelor’s degree/diploma/certificate in security management, risk, business, or related field, or equivalent related professional experienceProfessional certifications related to the global impact of the role such as CPP, CFE, CISM, PSP would be nice but not neededAbility to travel regionally and internationallyGlobal Job Posting Footers:Subject to applicable laws and regulations, OpenText’s global vaccination policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter an OpenText office. Accommodations may be available for specific roles.
