Job Description
NATIonAL POST: Programme Analyst, Capacity Development (MHPSS) , FTA NOA
The Position:
The Programme Analyst will ensure the effective management and coordination of UNFPA projects and activities in the area of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in the field. The areas of work are project formulation, implementation, and evaluation. You will aim at strengthening and reinforcing UNFPA’s role in SRH and Gender through the provision of high-quality MHPSS to government and non-government on the Humanitarian and COVID-19 Pandemic Response.
You will report to the UNFPA Representative, Deputy Representative/ Assistant Representative or Programme Specialist.

Job Purpose:
Working within the Country Office (CO) environment, you will support the effective management of UNFPA activities in the areas of population and development, reproductive health and gender. Through analysis and assessment of political, social and economic trends, you will contribute to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks.
You will assist in monitoring results achieved during implementation, guiding the appropriate application of systems and procedures, and developing enhancements as required.
You would be responsible for:
Support the Programme Specialist in providing technical leadership in capacity developmentSupport coordination efforts in the field with various stakeholders in developing evidence-ba
sed, innovative, and replicable policy and programmatic solutions to pressing cross-sectio
nalism of MHPSS in Gender and SRHR issues.With direct guidance of the Programme Specialist facilitate the building of partnerships with regio
nal and local government units, non-government organizations, civil society, communities, inter-faith groups, co UN agencies, development partners, and the private sector in promoting full implementation of the RPRH Law, Mental Health Act in the field.Co
ntribute to identifying and coordinating potential resource mobilization initiatives and opportunities to further widen and diversify UNFPA’s investments in MHPSS in the fieldCo
ntribute to identifying communication entry points and initiatives to strengthen UNFPA’s organizatio
nal brand in galvanizing support and engagement with beneficiaries, government, and non-government partners, do
nors with UNFPA Staff on MHPSS in the field.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Advanced university degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science discipline.
Knowledge and Experience:

Languages:
Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Filipino is desirable. Working knowledge of other official UN language is desirable.
