Job Description

Objectives

 To assist and support with the Human Resources and Payroll functions of Australia business partner in order to meet the customers (staff) requirements and the Company’s goals.

Main Responsibilities

Assist with the payroll function so it is processed in an efficient and effective manner.To process all payroll related payments in regulated time frames - super, payroll tax, workers compensation, group tax.Coordinate superannuation requirements.Assist with all human resources and payroll records and produce for external audits.Ensure all staff records are up to date and correct.Support with Recruitment functionsAssist in processing Regional HR Approvals and assist with recruitment where requested.Approving, processing and documenting document Change Requests.Taking appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.Assisting with the annual review and recording of each staff members training needsAssisting to ensure that audit deficiencies are corrected with the minimum of delay.Assisting with the Human Resource requirements of the Company.Workers compensation requirements and return to work plans.Responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety requirements.Assisting and maintaining company policies and procedures.Issuing staff contracts, amendments to contracts and new starter paperworkAssisting to manage performance appraisals and counselling of staffResponsibility to ensure that all statutory requirements are adhered to in regards to Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Occupational Health and Safety and Payroll.Industrial Relations requirements of the company.Responsible for general Admin concerning HR activitiesOrganize and maintain personnel recordsLiaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal complianceAnswer employees queries about HR-related issuesProvide relevant employee information for payroll (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates)Provide support to Managing Director as and when requiredOther tasks and responsibilities which may be assigned as and when required by your supervisor / managerUpdate and maintain employee details in the payroll systemUpdate and maintain employee details in Helios systemMake salaries and wages payments.Make taxation, workers compensation and superannuation payments.Give appropriate on the job training and supportAuthority to perform safety audits.
