Internal Audit Officer performs internal audit reviews of related accounting reconciliation and exception reports.
Responsibilities:
Performance financial, compliance and process audits:
Undertakes comprehensive planning by gathering relevant information a
bout the assigned business area and its processes and; performing a walkthrough and docu
menting the detailed understanding of the processes.Performs risk assessments relating to each audit assignment to ensure that the engagement identifies potential business risks. This includes survey of functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of the system of co
ntrol to achieve established objectives.Develops the audit project’s scope and objectives ba
sed on completed risk assessment.Prepares the audit procedures to achieve the audit objectives. Performs the audit in professio
nal manner and in accordance with the approved audit program.docu
ments work performed in accordance with internal policies, procedures and/or standards.Drafts the internal audit report reflecting the results of work performed.Ensures completion of audit project within approved budget and time
table.
Qualifications:
Experience in SAP or other ERPs/specialty solutions (preferably gained from a financial or real estate industry).Experience in co
ntinuous monitoring/auditing (data analysis and computer- assisted audit techniques).Knowledge in applicable financial reporting standards relevant to the industry is an advantage.Demo
nstrates strong project management and leadership skills.Strong knowledge in audit methodologies and procedures.Proficient in performance of account reco
nciliationsStrong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relatio
nship building skills.Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
