Job Description
Duties and responsibilities The Associate should, among others, be able to perform the following:Gather material facts of the case and relevant pieces of evidence necessary to prove such facts;Conduct comprehensive and accurate legal research;Formulate a sound legal opinion notwithstanding the novelty of the subject matter;Draft or proofread existing drafts of letters, contracts, motions, pleadings and other legal documents;Meet with clients and give legal advice;Collaborate with other lawyers of the Firm;Remain discreet with confidential information;Attend hearings and appear before various courts and quasi-judicial agencies;Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management. Qualifications: A graduate of a reputable law school;Have excellent English communication skills, especially in writing;Able to work under minimum supervision and still meet deadlines;Focused, observant, and can adjust to the demands of the profession;Team player and can deal with people well from all levels of organization;A background in Journalism/Accountancy preferred but not required;Experience in litigation is preferred but not required;Underbars are encouraged to apply;Paralegals are welcome to apply.
