Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the company’s marketing initiatives. He or she does market research and analysis in order to create efficient and effective strategies. He or she oversees the production of all materials and the implementation of all campaigns.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

MARKET RESEARCH AND AWARENESS

Does research and analysis of how the brand/ local concepts are positioned and crystalize target consumer insightsResearches and monitors market trends and customers’ preferences (current and potential)Leads in the research of competitor activities and market awareness for both local and international brands

PLANNING, LEADING, AND CONTROLLING

Creates marketing plans to increase brand awarenessDevelops plans to get the target market to take action (sales, traffic, engagement both online and in brick-and-mortar stores)Develops and monitors digital advertising campaigns for products/servicesDevelops effective media campaigns and marketing strategies that will address given objectivesWorks with marketing staff to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels and sales teamsEnsures strong brand presence in online and offline channels and establishes performance specificationsOversees marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with brand strategiesTranslates brand strategies to brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategiesCoordinates with the merchandising team to ensure consistency with all marketing communication strategiesEnsures that content and requirements required for all communication channels are followed and within the guidelines set forth by the departmentMaintains and strengthens relationships with brand partners, media vendors, and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activitiesWorks within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or serviceTracks all marketing and sales data and creates detailed written reports and verbal presentationsHandles social media, public relations, and content marketing

GENERAL

Prepares departmental budgets and monitors expensesMaintains the confidentiality of all information and documents he/she has access to inside the CompanyPerforms other tasks that may be deemed necessary by the superior from time to time

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (skills, knowledge, etc.):

Highly organized and able to multitaskKnowledge in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointWell-versed in social media and web analyticsExcellent communication and people skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesCreativity and commercial awarenessAbility to lead a teamAbility to quickly adapt to changeExtensive experience in creating marketing campaigns, strategies and plans, and content marketingMarket familiarity

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Training:

Must be a graduate of a Marketing Management, Business Management, or Communications CourseMust have experience in leading a team and have gone through leadership and marketing training/ seminars

Work Experience:

With at least 5 years of experience in Marketing positions (preference towards Retail Marketing or Brand Management)Experience in managing multiple projects, including simultaneous task assignmentsExposure to interacting with senior managementExperience in managing a team of at least 5 peopleKnowledgeable of the brands and products that we sellBeing a sneakerhead and having an interest in swimming is a plus factor
