Job DescriptionThe Network and Security Administrator (NSA) role is to help enable the company make theirjobs efficient thru technology and to manage and secure the information systems of thecompany.The NSA handles the installation, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of all Networkand Security Tools including Hardware and Software within the Healthy Options Group Networkincluding the Head Office, all subsidiaries and stores and outsourced services if applicable toensure its efficiency and availability.The NS Admin proposes the procurement of Network equipment needed for operations;executes Technical IT projects such as system and network infrastructure deployments,maintenance and rehabilitations; Implements a reliable and highly available system and networkarchitecture that will support current and future business application requirements; Maintainsand secure corporate network securityThe NS Admin reports to the Technical Services Manager.2.0 Essential Duties and Responsibilities2.1 Network System Administration2.1.1 Identifies, designs, acquires and implements a stable, reliable and costefficient network infrastructure for the company (Head Office, Stores and allremote sites) including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide AreaNetwork), WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network)2.1.2 Stays abreast with the emerging and latest technologies on networking toensure that the infrastructure is up-to-date and sustainable2.1.3 Participates in capacity planning and proposes upgrades on existing networksoftware and equipment (additional bandwidth, additional access points,network switches, etc) as deemed necessary2.1.4 Handles the operations and maintenance of all networking equipment andsoftware including troubleshooting, ensuring all units are up and running andin good working condition2.1.5 Coordinates with external providers such as Telcos to ensure availability ofWAN2.1.6 Notifies concerned IT teams and end-users for any problem requiring theirattention2.1.7 Prepares progress reports for Network projects2.1.8 Implements and ensures compliance to Network Policies2.2 Security Administration2.2.1 Designs and implements a highly secured cost-efficient network includingLAN, WAN and WLAN2.2.2 Stays abreast with the emerging and latest technologies on security to ensurethat the infrastructure is up-to-date, sustainable and secured2.2.3 Stays up-to-date on the latest security threats and risks includinginfrastructure breach, malwares, viruses, etc2.2.4 Manages all existing security appliances and software including Anti-virus,anti-spam and all other endpoint security, Firewall, etc2.2.5 Manages network, internet access rights based on access matrix2.2.6 Proposes all other measures that may further secure the company includingAdvance Threat Protection, Security Assessments, Website/ MobilePenetration Test, etc2.2.7 Helps educate users on security risks and measures2.2.8 Enforces Network Policies and Email and Internet Policies2.2.9 Helps ensure compliance to other IT Security Policies including OfficeComputing, Mobile Computing and Mobile Storage Device Policy and DataAccess Policy; conducts regular audits/ checks of all units2.2.1 Helps ensure compliance to all external regulatory requirements regardingsecurity2.3 Technical Support2.3.1 Provides first line technical support for Hardware and Infrastructure relatedissues2.3.1.1 Provides troubleshooting for computing units such as POS,desktops, laptops, CCTV, AV equipment, Wifi, printers andperipherals and all other IT-related equipment2.3.1.2 Coordinates with vendors for warranties and repairs andensures that all IT equipment are covered by maintenanceagreement2.3.1.3 Handles the daily maintenance of Laptops, desktop and othercomputing peripherals needed for the daily operations2.3.2 Provides technical support for software applications as needed2.3.2.1 Handle the installation of client-based software applicationssuch as NAV, EPORTAL, etc2.3.2.2 For Enterprise Resource Planning and POS applications,ensure that data is replicated to and from the target systems2.3.2.3 Ensure that daily schedules jobs are running provided it hasbeen turned over by the Business systems group after theimplementation phase2.3.2.4 Ensure that all technical requirements needed for thesoftware to run are met including internet connection, IPaddress assignment if applicable, PC specs (Hard disk space,OS, etc), pre-requisite software (such as SQL, anti-virus), etc3.0 Performance Indicators3.1 High availability of all Network connection thru LAN, WAN and WLAN in the head officeand at the stores.3.2 Highly Secured network and all clients/ endpoints within the network3.3 Minimal security breaches; response and recovery from breach3.4 Security policies are strictly implemented3.5 Projects are rolled-out within budgeted time and cost3.6 Support services availability and efficiency3.7 Compliance to all policies, SOPs and core values4.0 Qualifications4.1 Bachelor’s Degree in any IT related course, i.e., Engineering, Computer Science, IT4.2 Technically knowledgeable in most common hardware and software systems used in theIT industry4.3 Technically knowledgeable in most common network hardware, software and securityappliances used in the industry today4.4 Has an Analytical and thorough knowledge on network administration andtroubleshooting4.5 Flexible, with good communication skills, passionate for work, team player

Asticom's project employees shall be deployed to the client for the duration if the engagement.
