We are recruiting for an innovative, collaborative and decisive AWS SysOps Administrator to join the English Technology team. The role supports the Reward team with the delivery of compensation and benefit initiatives, activities and solutions to meet the business needs and objectives.

What will you do in this role? Working under the supervision of the Cloud and Security Architect in the UK, you will be involved in:

 Regular monitoring of the current AWS environment to ensure best practices are followedReviewing Security Hub findings and guiding the technology teams through to resolutionEscalation point for the support teams on Security, AWS and other IaaS / SaaS solutions Research and evaluate new AWS services and solutions and provide recommendations on the adoption of new technologiesWork collaboratively with the English Technology team to understand any requirements for new accounts and services within AWS Ensure all system changes required follow the Change Management process

What makes you the ideal candidate for this position? 

You will be ideal for this part if you have a minimum of 5 years of experience of hands-on AWS experience.  You will make a strong candidate if you have strong and proven technical background with deep understanding of a broad range of technologies including but not limited to, networking, DNS, CDN’s, email systems and security in the Cloud. 

In addition, experience, knowledge or expertise in the following would give you an advantage:

You will have at least 5 years’ experience of hands on exposure to AWS and a good understanding of AWS organisationsYou will have been certified to a minimum of AWS Associate level, with either Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator.Experience and knowledge of managing complex and secure AWS environmentsExperience with AWS services such as Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, CloudTrail, CloudFormation and other automation servicesKnowledge of AWS best practices and in depth knowledge of Amazon servicesExperience in running web application vulnerability toolsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong self-management skillsExcellent writing and communication skillsAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlinesKnowledge of ITIL processesFamiliarity with ISO 20001 and 27001 standards
