The Database Administrator will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database as well as be involved in the planning and development of the database, including troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users. They are to secure that data remains consistent across the database, is clearly defined, can be accessed by users concurrently in a form that suits their needs, and is provided security and recovery control ensuring that all data is retrievable in an emergency.
