Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates and maintains Microsoft SQL Server databases and related services; performs installation, troubleshooting, patching, upgrade, backup and restore databases; creates database files, user accounts and transaction logs.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.Manages and performs system deployment to production environment.Supports application developments such as migrating legacy system.Provide database recommendations and resolutions to issues both for quick-fix and long-term solution.Proactively perform database hardening and implement database security protocols to lessen possible vulnerability attacks.Regularly perform capacity planning for database server and storage to comply with business growth and operation.

Requirements and Qualifications:

At least a college graduate of Computer Science, Electronic and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering or other degree in Math and Sciences.5-10 years working experience in I.T. as Oracle and/or MS SQL database administratorWith industry certification such as Microsoft certificationStrong knowledge of T-SQL scripting, third party tools, and transaction monitoring.Proficient in various Operating Systems such as Windows and LinuxKnowledgeable of the following:With Service Broker, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.With Database Design and SQL Development.With Clustering.Experienced in the following:Relational database management system, specifically Microsoft SQL ServerUsing SQL Server Management Studio and/or GUI or any alternative database management tool.Database Mirroring, Log Shipping and/or other High Availability/DR strategy.Devops continuous integration and deployment tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Octopus DeployWith Performance Tuning and Optimization.Release and deployment management.
