Job Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Network Support Engineer is responsible for maximizing the network performance by monitoring performances and troubleshooting problems.

Education: Computer Engineering (graduate) Open for Fresh Graduates

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Creates and works with trouble tickets to resolve network issues.Remote and troubleshoot via Telnet, SSH, and Tellabs.Coordinates with 3rd party network provider if deemed necessary.Checks the alarms in layers 2 and 3 in every down site(s).Coordinates with other teams, and Field Engineers for further checking of circuits (if necessary)Release of Daily Report (Network Health Check/ Back-up link Status).Conducts first-line maintenance on network devices such as modem and routerOther job-related activities that may be assigned from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 

 Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or any related course.Related Work Experience – At least 1 year of experience as a Network Support Engineer.Technical support for web production issuesKnowledge – Knowledgeable in Telnet, SSH, and Tellabs.Skills:Must have strong problem-solving skills to identify problems within an organization's computer network. Excellent critical thinking skills to weigh all the possible options and determine which will be most effective. Must have verbal and written skills.Must have strong documentation skills and attention to detailAbility to respond to escalated customer support cases timely.Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervisionAbility to perform and oversees complex tasks and prioritize multiple projectsWilling to learn and work with new technologies.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and with a cross-functional team.Must be adept to work in a fast-paced environment with tight SLAs.
