Role and Responsibilities
Analyst IT Application Business Intelligence (Global) position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, management and support of mission critical enterprise BI reporting and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and environments. The position will be required to gather, document, and approve business requirements for data analysis and reporting projects, as well as use BI and database tools to develop reporting solutions to meet business needs. This position is responsible for design, develop and implement ETL processes to transform structured, unstructured and disparate source data into the target data store(s)/ data warehouse(s) / data mart(s).
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Business analysis to gather required BI system requirements
· Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive data store/ data warehouse/ data mart design and configuration
· Use ETL tools to load data store(s)/ data warehouse(s)/ data mart(s).
· Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for both external and internal users
· Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented
· Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members
· Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes
· Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
· Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the organization
· Analyzing business requirements and processes and recommending them to the management and executives for implementation
· Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization
Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability
Prerequisite Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related fieldMinimum 7 years of experience in developing applications7+ years’ experience implementing enterprise-scale reporting systems, including :
o Working with users in a requirements analysis role
o Extensive use of SQL and RDBMS systems (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
o Extensive experience with data warehouse design and implementations
o Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft BIServer, Analysis Studio, Report Studio, Query Studio, etc.)Demo
nstrated ability with ETL tools. Familiarity with Informatica is a plus.Performance tuning experience requiredExcellent interperso
