General Purpose of the Job:
An Information Technology (IT) asset is responsible for taking a detailed inventory of his/her organization’s software and hardware assets and applying the information gathered in making the best decision concerning IT-related purchases and redistribution for the organization.
The IT asset job description entails helping his organization to eliminate waste and increase efficiency by making the best use of existing IT asset resources and avoiding asset purchases that are unnecessary.
He helps his organization to make a strategic decisions and optimize spending within the IT environment, as well as enable their company to have a deeper understanding of its IT business value.
Responsibilities for IT Asset Admin
Mo
nitoring of all requested IT Items/ Equipment such as Monitor, desktop, cables and other prior deployment/ issuance Assistance with the deployment/ issuance of the requested IT Items/ Equipment to the requestors Receiving of all IT Items/ Equipment through the use of the System, SNOW Service Now (SAP) Encoding of all the IT Items/ Equipment in the Finance Book with serial numbers and its quantity Updating of all movements and requests to all IT Items/ Equipment into the System (SAP) Mo
nitoring of all Ticket Request through Email and Service Now Ticketing System Mo
nitoring of inventories of all IT assets/ equipment in storage and in production Preparation and creation of reports needed regarding IT asset/ equipment requests Preparation and creation of reports needed regarding status and/or movements of stocks (e.g. released or not yet released depending on availability) Preparation and creation of reports needed regarding received delivered IT Items/ Equipment and/or docu
ments Can act as back-up IT admins in supporting business requirements Can work on other IT tasks given by the Stake Holders
Qualifications for IT Asset admin
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. With 6 mo
nths to 1-year of working experience as IT Asset Management/Admin Assistant under IT Department or any related field is required for this position. Must be knowledgeable in using SAP Excellent attendance records Good in oral and written communication (English) Proficient in using MS Office Applications Self-starter and can work well with minimal supervision Willing to work in fast-paced environment Willing to work on a shifting schedule Willing to render overtime if needed Know-how in desktop HW and Software troubleshooting
