Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

·       Conduct regular regression testing on the sites to match iteration release schedules and identify and document all necessary test cases for successful, safe delivery of new functionality through Program Increment features or defect fixes

·       Collaborate with the team to identify and develop opportunities for quality improvements and processes standardization

·       Contributes to the knowledge base, runbook documentation that the team have based on the solutions implemented

·       Develop test scripts or software verification plans as part of quality assurance procedure of the team

·       Delivers committed tasks per iteration.

·       Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning, support prioritization, feature requirements, and team projects to fully understand intentions and offer quality assurance support

·       Participate in Daily Stand-up Meeting, Agile Iteration Review and Planning, and Team Tech Sessions Follow established coding standards and process procedures

·       Follow established processes and deployment cadence

Requirements

·       Education: BS Computer Science / BS Information Technology or equivalent

Job Related Experience:

·       2 years of experience in Web Development Technologies such as HTML, CSS and Javascript

·       2+ years QA experience in manual or automated testing of a business application software

·       Experience in NodeJS development and implementation (nice to have)

·       Undertake QA reviews, document issues, report QA metrics (code developed, software faults, phases)

·       Work effectively in a global team environment

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

Software Tester

Responsibilities

·       You will be a member of a self-organizing and self-managing, cross-functional team producing complete working features in short increments, and should be able to deliver high quality, potentially releasable incremental value of the product regularly.

·       You will be participating in the requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, debugging and/or maintaining existing code as well as new features accepted by the team during a sprint, including determining the right level of documentation and processes required for the project.

·       You will need to work with the stakeholders to determine the level of definition needed for each feature and to ensure clear and achievable acceptance criteria.

·       You will be responsible for ensuring high quality of products by defining test plans and strategies through the creation and execution of manual and automated tests that cover functional and non-functional aspects (e.g. acceptance, integration, system, performance, robustness, regression, etc.) in alignment with customer requirements.

Requirements

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

·       At least 2 years of experience in end-to-end software application testing using lean Agile practices 

·       Experience in creating test plans and strategies, and performing test analysis and design

·       Experience in creating and executing software automation and test scripts

Minimum Qualifications

·       Experience in Agile testing and have contributed to other end-to-end activities of the software development lifecycle (e.g. analyzing requirements, developing concepts, developing tools, and supporting the CI/CD infrastructure)

·       Strong SDLC experience in delivering projects on time with high quality, covering requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing

·       Able to communicate effectively with peers and other departments in local and international settings.

·       Able to manage ambiguity, and flexible to adapt to a dynamic work

·       Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capability

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience in driving or leading software testing projects

·       Experience in Agile testing approaches like BDD (Behavioral Driven Development) and best practices like exploratory testing and risk-based analysis

·       Experience in SAFe and/or Agile Scrum Software Development methodologies

·       Involved with multi-tiered or moderate-to-complex system development
