The Institutional Communications and Advocacy Assistant Manager will report to the Executive Director and the Strategic Support Manager, and will be part of the Strategic Support Unit of ULF. The main purpose of this position is to build the Foundation’s reputation as a social innovator, promote the Foundation’s advocacies, and effectively communicate the ULF’s programs with great focus on the results and benefits obtained through the program interventions.

Scope of Work
The Institutional Communications and Advocacy Assistant Manager key deliverables are as follows:
1. Lead the creation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a strategic, a multi-faceted communications and advocacy program that will promote the Foundation’s reputation and brand as a social innovator and produce positive advocacy results.
2. Conceptualize, plan, and develop content across all channels and ensure constant supply of stories.
3. Prepare regular Board of Trustees Report and Annual Report based on the Monitoring, evaluation and Learning Reports.
4. Produce institutional materials such as:
• Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
• 15-seconder video per month for the Billboard space
• Marketing Collaterals of ULF and its spin-off organizations
• Monthly Press releases
• Other AVPs, as may be required
5. Lead the updating and monitoring of ULF team’s alignment to the Foundation’s communication toolkits, containing but not limited to the following: message house, brand key, brand bible, ABCDE sheets.
6. Review communications and advocacy materials as specified in the Comms Approval Matrix
7. Closely collaborate with the Program Communications Officers on regular monitoring and lead the analysis of the Social Media Analytics including the use of Social Media Listening Tools.
8. Lead the capacity-building efforts on Social Media Listening, Advocacy Communications, and other communications-related Learning and Development.
9. Manage ULF digital assets, including website, social media, and email newsletters, from content planning to monitoring. Monitor coverage of ULF in all media.
10. Convene and collaborate with the program-based Communications and Advocacy officers to for planning and implementation of program specific communications plans.
11. Support the Executive Director’s communications requirements such as preparation of speeches, correspondence, press release and presentation materials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
This position requires a results-driven individual, with
1. Relevant educational and/or professional degrees and certifications.
2. At least 5 years demonstrated experience in Development Communications, Communications and Advocacy, or other Communications-focused field..
3. Experience in developing and implementing a strategic and multi-faceted communications and advocacy program.
4. Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written.
5. Demonstrated experience and graphics and layout.
5. Intermediate to advanced knowledge on management of Social Media and other online platforms, and analysis of its metrics.
6. Relevant knowledge on various communications tools, software and applications.
7. Knowledge of social sectors in the Philippines.
Selection Criteria:
1. Relevant educational and/or professional degrees and certifications.

3. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a strategic and multi-faceted communications and advocacy program.
4. Demonstrated experience to produce high quality reports.
5. Demonstrated ability to produce quality Communications and Advocacy materials.
6. Intermediate to advanced knowledge on management of Social Media and other online platforms, and analysis of its metrics.
7. Demonstrated ability to navigate current and emerging tools in communications.
8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
