Job Description

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education : Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, PR,   Advertising, Marketing, or Communication ArtsExperience : 2 years of relevant work experienceTraining : 8 hours of relevant training

KNOWLEDGE

PR and Media relations (with at least 2 years experience dealing with media)Marketing communications (materials development, IMC campaigns)Advanced events management

SKILLS

Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel) Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign;Internet savvyPossesses above average communication and interpersonal skillsPress release and speech writing, media savvy, copy writing, event organizing, public  speaking, documentation, excellent interviewing skills, advanced photography, layouting, has a sense of what makes a good story

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Gathers data and newsworthy information for appropriate dissemination/publication in the major dailies;

2. Contributes to the development of press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, statements, photo captions, speaking proposals, and other company literature;

3. Conducts daily media monitoring and social listening;

4. Assists in evaluating and analyzing media releases related to and affecting the Corporation's policies and programs;

5. Maintains dashboard of projects, ROI and other metrics regarding project impacts and prepares reports (publicity, website hits, and social media statistics);

6. links and coordinates with different media companies for the coverage of corporate milestone activities;

7. documents corporate milestone activities for publicity , publication, and other purposes including proceedings of forums/speaking engagements participated in by SHFC executives;

8. Prepares briefing materials, talk points, and press kits;

9. Coordinates the conduct of press conferences media tours, and press interviews; Conducts media rounds;

10. Researches media coverage and industry trends; and

11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
