Job Description

GoTeam is seeking for a competent Public Relations Specialist who can research and create a list of websites that connect you with journalists for relevant articles.

The client is an American e-commerce shop that carries hair health supplements. They provide the most comprehensive hair growth & daily vitamin supplement on the market. Apart from the supplements sold, the company provides guidance, support, and coaching for people who want thicker, healthier hair. 

  In this position, you will be:  

For Award Nominations:     Research and create a list of relevant awards to be nominated for    Create award documentation    Submit awardMedia Releases:    Research and create a list of websites that connect you with journalists for relevant articles. E.g. https://www.helpareporter.com (HARO connects journalists seeking expertise to include in their content with sources who have that expertise.)   Create a profile on websites such as HARO and alike   Setup email alerts    Contact journalists that are looking for articles relevant to the client’s product/services/industry    Draft media releasesPodcasts: Research and create a list of relevant podcasts for the founder to speak on    Reach out and organize speaking engagementslinkedIn:  Create and post daily linkedIn posts for founders’ profile    Connect with all journalists & podcast hosts from the above activities to build community and relationships for further PR   Research opportunities for certified women-owned businesses. These opportunities include but are not limited to free press, interviews on talk shows, and collaborations.    Look for companies that support diversity and women-owned businesses in any capacity.    Check the press office’s email inbox for media inquiries   Phone or email journalists to try to interest them in the organization’s press releases and feature ideas   Devise and produce proactive media campaigns   Arrange for spokespeople to speak to the media    Monitor media coverage and prepare a regular evaluation report

 Some nice-to-have skills and qualifications:  

Proven experience as public relations specialist or similar position   Experience in project management and execution of PR campaigns and/or initiatives   Experience in copywriting and editing   Must have aptitude in presentation   Experience in research   BSc/BA in PR, communications, journalism, or relevant field is preferred   Strong analytical skills   Excellent communication skills, both oral and written   Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is preferred   Attentive to all details and always ensures that the information presented is accurate and true   Have the ability to remain professional and courteous at all times   Proactive behavior   Flexible to the required work schedule
