The Global Co
ntent Systems Supervisor reports to the Senior Manager – Global Co
ntent and oversees the operations of the Global Digital Asset Management (DAM) system which holds more than 900K assets so that it maximises the value of co
ntent through streamlined processes, effective surfacing strategies, and agile adjustments made in respo
nse to evolving business needs.This position leads the Our Promise priority to rediscover our storytelling voice by curating best-in-class exemplar content. S/he has the accountability for the planning, development, design, and timely delivery of a global newsletter distributed to over 6,000 users and respo
nsible for the creation of thematic, high-value collections of stories, images, footage and other creative resources, allowing for Partnership-wide commissio
ning of and access to stories, and correspo
nding images, footage, and many more relevant co

ntent Systems Supervisor will work under the guidance of the Senior Manager – Global Co
ntent to drive culture change across the organisation and collaborate with key Partnership co
ntent users and co
nvene in regular calls to ensure alignment of requests, minimize duplication, and optimize co
ntent multi-purposing.The Global Co
ntent Systems Supervisor coordinates with content-producing teams within the Global Marketing and Communications department to ensure WVI’s digital approach is aligned well-coordinated. S/he will establish workflows and rules, maintain a global calendar for curation for the Global DAM, and ensure that effective, high-quality co
ntent is surfaced in a timely manner, in line with Our Promise and strategic initiatives.The role will exercise leadership and decision making by developing team work plans and leading regular team meetings, and will oversee the work of the Global Librarian and Curation Specialist to ensure that high-quality co
ntent is delivered in an efficient manner and highlighted ba
sed on aligned themes and users’ needs.The Global Co
ntent Systems Supervisor will be the main point of co
ntact for key stakeholder relatio
nships and will collaborate with end-users across offices to identify audience insights, clarify, gain alignment on co
ntent needs, and to establish and refine strategic processes for co
ntent delivery.In addition, this position works closely with the Business Analyst to design co
nsolidated reports and gather insights that lead to action. S/he will produce recommendations ba
sed on analysis of Global DAM users’ data and stakeholder insights to ensure that the Partnership’ co
ntent needs are addressed and the resources are focused on highlighting world-class co
ntent with high engagement results.The overarching purpose of the Global Co
ntent team within Global Marketing and Communications is to present and distribute strategic co
ntent that is easily accessible through current and emerging audience engagement platforms, and key themes for exemplar co
ntent are supported and aligned with the broader co
ntent network.
Required Professional Experience:
4-5 years of business experience as digital librarian or digital co
ntent systems.Proven experience in implementing quality standards; Knowledgeable in cataloguing, taxonomy, indexing and use of digital systems/archive.Team management in a virtual environmentStorytelling/co
ntent delivery in a development/humanitarian co
ntextBasic knowledge of SAAS (software as a service) use and administratio
nKeen cross-cultural understanding
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Library and Information Science, Communications, Marketing, Computer Sciences, Multi media studies, or other relevant discipline. Technical competence in managing digital co
ntent systems Technical competence in analytics and reporting tools, including MS Excel and MS Power BI
Preferred Knowledge & Qualifications:
Experience of developing internal communications pieces Technical competence in digital asset editing tools (e.g. Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Media Processing Technology, Lightroom etc.) Technical competence in internal communications tools (Adobe InDesign, Poppulo) Experience of capacity building and facilitating user training in the virtual environment Knowledge of intellectual property and copyright issues Excellent understanding of the processing of photo and videos Excellent knowledge of creating, retouching, optimizing and delivering imagery across multiple channels
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internatio
nally up to 20% of the time
