Role description
The Client puts artists' music on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and many more. We believe that independent artists should be able to stay independent and succeed independently. We’re looking for an experienced Content & Catalog manager with a proven track record of working with digital distribution, music metadata, preferably with an understanding of product/software development. You will be joining our industry-leading Content Operations Team and play a leading role in maintaining our ability to deliver high quality content smoothly, efficiently and in good time, while ensuring we adhere to the latest music store guidelines and standards.
Job description
- Review audio and metadata to make sure that all releases are compliant with the digital stores’ requirements.
- Work with our users (independent artists and labels) when releases require updating, additional information or documentation.
- Work with the team to ensure we achieve our targets in terms of delivery times and performance metrics as set out by our partner stores.
- Work closely and cross-functionally with our internal teams and external stakeholders and partner stores to resolve ingestion and delivery issues quickly and effectively.
- Work with our product team to help retain our status/relationships with our partner stores (for example, on the platinum tier of Spotify’s Preferred Partner Programme)
- Contribute to the constant improvement of processes and practices together with your team and the company in regards to content delivery.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 2 years experience from working with content delivery /catalog management and metadata.
- Experience / understanding of content style guides such as Spotify and Apple Music Style Guidelines.
- Basic experience of international music copyright.
- Experience of working with music aggregators or global DSPs such as Spotify, Apple Music.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Love for independent music and interest in the music industryDesirable
- Experience of using issue tracking, bug reporting tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Experience with customer communication / ticketing tools (Intercom)- Experience of lean / agile working and software development
