Job Description
Job Responsibilities:Consulting and Oversight Role:Drive the company’s financial and tax planning (local and international setting)Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the Executive CommitteeWork with the CEO/President on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships on city, state, and national levels, as well as assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts.Attend Board and Sub-committee meetings, including being the lead staff on the Audit/Finance Committee.Strategic Planning:To spearhead discussions and compliance to the IPO Listing Requirement of the SGX, in coordination with Executive Committee and other consultants.To play an active role in Investor Relations and fund-raising activities.People Management:Manage team of accountants, admin and/or financial analysts.Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.Cash Management:Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations and highlight issues immediately to executive management teamRegulatory ComplianceEnsure proper Government and regulatory complianceMonitor banking activities of the organization and cash on vaults and other financial instrument.Risk Management:Develop risk management processes and instill the same in the organization’s culture - Perform risk management assessment by analyzing the organization’s processes, liabilities, and investments.Regulatory complianceEnsure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Withholding Payments, Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, etc.Ensure compliance with the law, government institutions (SEC, BIR, BSP, etc.) and company’s policiesControls:Enable daily and monthly reconciliation of cash and bank balances movementEnsure completeness and accuracy of all financial transactionsReview monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations with funders and pension plan requirements, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management, as well as the Audit/Finance Committee and Board of Directors.Prepare reliable current and forecasting reportsPreparation of financial planning, financial forecasts, and budgeting.Oversee the preparation of all financial reportingOversee and improve the company’s finance processes and IT systemOversee business insurance plans and health care coverage analysis, maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets, including assets purchased with government funds (computers, etc.) assuring all are in accordance with federal regulations.Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits.Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Effective negotiation skillsAbility to obtain and maintain investor relationsCapable of evaluating a monetary position to ensure daily decisions are made based on accurate data as well as experienced in future planning and projectionsSpearheading of SGX listing applicationCapital starts up raising experienceEquity Compensation DrivenPreferably with Capital Market Experience.Job Requirements:Must Have 5 to 8 years’ experiencePreferably CPAMust have good communication skillsExcellent in management and business skillsWell verse in handing listing company
