Detailed Job Description:
Assists in reviewing and understanding all relevant docu
mentation pertaining to the project including scope of services, co
nditions of the contract, project execution plan, project schedule, et.al.Assists in co
ntinually analyzing and mo
nitoring cost against budget and ascertaining cost trends, flagging problem areas to the Project Manager and Central Office Project Co
ntrol Department.Assists in tracking and validating progress of works per Project, including the mo
nthly invoicing to the Client/Owner.Assists in reviewing and validating transaction mapping co
nducted on a weekly basis, in preparation for a “zero discrepancy” Mo
nthly Cost Report.Participates in e
valuating and reporting engineering changes which affect field labor and material quantities or schedules so that these can be suitably input to cost reports and/or trended.Participates in setting up cost reporting structure.Assists in checking that Variation Orders, Requisitions and Purchase Orders are properly priced and coded for accounting and cost report purposes.Assists in reviewing special cost studies as required for problem areas, claims, variation orders and back-charges, etc.Assists in reviewing activity plans in accomplishing the work requirement by the procedures and validates sufficiency of ‘as-planned’ manpower requirement.Assists in disseminating budget information to all operating groups, providing clarification and additio

e necessary and ascertaining commitment to budgets as to cost target. Assists in instilling cost awareness in the project organization of all projects such that capital costs are co
ntrolled and changes to work scope are identified and qualified. Assists in identifying and analyzing deviations and trends against the budgets. Assists in investigating such deviations.Assists in obtaining from operating groups, the updated information pertinent to cost analysis and ensuring its accuracy and completeness. Attends internal meetings as necessary, co
ncerning cost matters.Assists in preparing independent Co
ntract Profit/Loss Reports to advise the Project Manager and Central Office regarding cost as required. Assists in preparing final project statistics and in advising the Company on effectiveness of procedures and systems for possible developments in future projects.Assists in ensuring compliance with Company cost co
