THE COST ENGINEER is directly reporting to the ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR in the absence of the SUPERVISOR he will be reporting to the OPERATIONS MANAGER and responsible for the safekeeping of all bid/ contract/ plans specification documents carried out by personnel/team within his department. His responsibilities are to:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Prepares and document / take off sheets of all bill of material, labor, and equipment for bidding.
b. Scanning determining/identifying the scope of work of the project bid proposal.
c. Understand translation of the project bid specification to ensure that there are no items that have been in the grey area or all have been translated, queried, and converted into the cost.
d. Knows Gantt /Bar chart, manpower calculation, materials, and equipment needed.
e. Determine three suppliers' cost identification for bid proposals.
f. Understands and knows tender documents contract bills of materials/specifications and plans needed on estimates.
g. Monitoring/coordination to project sites for all additional / revisions that may cost implications on project sites.
h. Knows all the government statutory requirements of the building.
i. Willing to be assigned to the project sites of the company.
QUALIFICATION:
Must college graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 1-2 years of experience in a construction company, Familiarity with Philippine building code and architectural standards.
