The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the estimation of materials, time and labor costs of a project to be able to determine its feasibility, profitability, and value to the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities;
· Study the contract, architectural and engineering plans, and other related documentations of potential projects to determine the scope of work and all the relevant information that should be considered in the commercial proposal.
· Determine the material requirement of potential projects, estimate and evaluate the quantities and submit material samples for approval of the potential Customer to facilitate the creation of the Bill of Quantities.
· Request, check and evaluate quotations from vendors and study the historical prices from the latest purchase orders to determine the appropriate pricing for the material requirement and consumables of potential projects.
· Determine the amount of manpower required for the scope of work and the corresponding labor rates to provide an efficient estimate of the labor cost of potential projects.
Prepare the Bill of Quantities and recommend the best price for the estimated quantities and other cost items to come up with a competitive proposal to the Customer.
· Justify to the Management pricing recommendations and provide computations, clarifications and details of quantities or any disputed item to facilitate the effective evaluation of the commercial proposal.
· Coordinate and attend meetings with the Customer, the Operations Team and other department representatives for the efficient resolution of concerns and efficient processing of tenders.
· Maintain a systematic and well-organized filing system for documentations related to contracts, tender drawings, bill of quantities and commercial proposals to ensure completeness of records and to provide easy access to reference.
. Provide back-up relief for other team members and perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the department and the Company.
Qualifications:

nal License (Passed Board/Bar/Professio
