Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

•BS Interior Design or Architecture Graduate

•Licensed Interior Designer / Architect

• With minimum of 15 years work experience as Interior Designer or equivalent

•International Work Experience (preferred Hospitality)

A. Major duties and responsibilities 

1. DESIGN IMPLEMENTATION 

a. Set out criteria for the projects. Distribute sketches, design intentions and design solutions including technical aspects of the design; 

b. Verify and conduct final QA/QC check on designs and internal standards and ensure the compliance with the contract; 

c. Interact with the design team to ensure that the interpretation of sketches and design requirements are fulfilled properly; 

d. Produce hand sketches to express his/her design intentions; 

e. Perform red line mark-ups and pickups of delegated work and/or complete packages of deliverables; 

f. Ensure and check that the building codes, design and implement creative architectural layout; 

g. Arrange frequent internal meetings with Design Director and Head of Projects, to ensure the design intention as per company and client requirements/standards. 

2. PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

a. Manages the projects in all aspects and ensure that it will bring into contract completion; 

b. Ensure that the technical aspects are well presented and meeting is properly prepared; 

c. Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects; 

d. Responsible in preparing, managing and presenting the workshop and ensure that it is ready ; 

e. Prepare for regular project team meetings pertaining to project tasks, deliverables and milestones; 

f. Responsible for supporting the Design Manager in order take responsibility and fulfil the tasks when the Design Manager is on leave. 

3. CLIENT MANAGEMENT 

a. Point of contact and administering communication with clients and project stakeholder; 

b. Establish and sustain a healthy client relationship; 

c. Attend meetings with clients to give updates and get input about the projects; 

d. Responsible in documenting and analysing the minutes of the meeting and comment logs; 

4. TEAM MANAGEMENT 

a. Ensure quality and efficiency for assigned tasks and deliverables in the team; maintain billable efficiency at 100%. Ensure that nobody in the team is idle; 

b. Regularly coordinate and report the team’s productivity and alert the Operation Manager with the current situation; 

c. Hold team and individuals accountable to deliver upon commitments; 

d. Understand and demonstrate the need for open and direct communication, both verbally and in writing; ensure that team communications are consistent and thorough; 

e. Demonstrate a high degree of time management skill and constantly seek to streamline processes and procedures in order to increase quality and efficiency; 

f. Implements rules and regulations/ Company Policies in coordination with the Human Resources /Admin Department.
