Due to our focus on self-directed, holistic approach to learning, we are looking for a passionate Learning Technology Specialist to join our fast-paced L&D Team in the UK, by being based in Manila as part of our Organisational Development Team.

The role is pivotal to the success of identifying and embedding, “In the flow” and self-directed learning. You will ensure the learning technology supports the current and future learning and development needs of the organisation and will ensure engagement of colleagues with the technology.

As part of a matrix team, you will provide subject matter expertise on how technology can support our products and ways of working, making recommendations on success indicators and metrics and seek continuous improvements through ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

Working in partnership with the L&D, OD Support and wider People teams, you will provide opportunities for our colleagues to upskill and reskill enabled by technology. You will drive the adoption of self-directed, social and just-in-time learning across the organisation by maximising the use of technology. With assistance from the OD Support team, support, guide and advise colleagues at all levels to help them to understand and fully utilise just-in-time learning techniques and technology and empower them to be content curators for their areas.

Other key responsibilities will include:

To implement, promote, develop and maintain Cambridge University Press & Assessment's learning technology systems & products and to effectively engage global stakeholders at all levels to understand and fully utilise the technology-based learning resources available to them as well as to create, curate and evaluate on-line learning resources, ensuring needs are rigorously identified and turned into practical and valuable learning interventions.Be a close contact with external Technology Partners to ensure monitoring and evaluation and understanding of our requirements.Working closely with people analytics, OD Support and L&D teams, develop metrics to effectively measure adoption and impact. Fully utilise the data to drive adoption and impact.To research and recommend new and innovative technology and use of technology to deliver an evidence based, holistic learning approach which includes; blended, on-line, social and self-directed learning.To adapt approach and resources to ensure they are inclusive and appropriate for our global EDIB communities.

What are the qualifications?

Good written and oral communication skills, including communicating specialist technical knowledge to a non-specialist audience and a demonstrable experience in interpersonal and stakeholder management is ideal. Qualifications related to e-learning and/or instructional design would be great, “real life” experience of some of the key areas identified in this advert and the job description would be even better. Ideally, you will have experience of working remotely, within a global matrix project team and with virtual learning environments. Experience or knowledge of forward thinking utilisation of e-learning technology and digital design in learning would also be a huge advantage.

Experience of working within the Education Sector, in a project or product team within an International organisation would be useful.

Having a keen interest in organisational learning and adult learning principles – and how tech can be used to support this, is essential.

In addition, experience, knowledge or expertise in the following are an advantage:

Skillsoft Percipio, Workday LMS, Moodle, Miro, Yammer, Kanban and/or other tech for social learning.Knowledge of self directed, holistic learning including social learning and Academies.Intermediate-advanced Microsoft office skills including MS Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BVI and SharePoint.Ability to identify success indicators and summarise data and create reports for monitoring and evaluation.Critical thinking and problem solving skills and initiative to use these; as well as a flair for design and an eye for detail and the ability to plan, organise own workload, and manage competing work agendas.
