Qualifications
1. Graduate of BS Psychology or Behavioral Science with MA or ongoing MA
2. At least 2 years experience as Counselor in school, private or public companies
3. Must know how to administer and interpret Psychological exams
4. Must have excellent communication skills
5. Must be flexible, patient and honest
6. Must have leadership capability, can facilitate group and organize events
7. Must know how to handle stress and can work under pressure
8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conducts Admission Interviews for freshmen, returnees and cross enrollees;
2. Conducts Initial Interview for transferees, probationary & foreign students;
3. Conducts Exit Interviews for graduating, transferring, failing & drop out students
4. Handles referral counseling for academic or behavioral reasons to monitor growth of students and gives recommendation;
5. Facilitates voluntary counseling so the student may be able to address situation/ crises causing stress or conflict;
6. Gathers, organizes and maintains records and reports about the students such as: family and health background, academic data, test results, counseling interviews, interests and activities and all issued documents to students;
7. Administers appraisal activity through mental, personality & aptitude tests at different intervals during the school year to promote student awareness understanding;
8. Interprets and releases test results of students individually in a confidential and private manner;
9. Organizes and performs career education activities such as: school visitation, career internship, job fair and job placement;
10. evaluates career interests of students through career counseling and development;
11. Schedules relevant seminars like: Drug Awareness, Time Management, Improving Study
12. Habits and the like and invites resource speakers to handle selected topic for the month;
13. Prepares certificate of Good Moral Character and other referral for graduating and transferring students;
14. Maintains the highest level of integrity in its business dealings with employees, people and organization to its highest ethical standards in all areas of responsibilities;
15. Performs such other duties and responsibilities relevant to the enumerated functions and duties
Began with only two campuses on August 21, 1983, STI now has campuses all over the Philippines.
