Job Responsibilities
Develop food formulations/ recipes, new product development of Bakery and Baked goods, e.g.: flour confectionery, pastry, cakes, muffins, desserts etc.Translate new and traditio
nal culinary techniques and identify opportunities to apply those through the use of respective scale manufacturing processes Prepare SOPs and Costing of the developed recipes. Produce product prototype; co
nduct in-house shelf-life study as well as organoleptic test on finalized recipe.Refine new product development or raw ingredients in food applications ba
sed on current trends, market demands as well as local preference. Provide technical/ application support to customers by co
nducting demo
nstrations or technical knowhow. Mo
nitor and ensure sufficient supply level of raw materials/ ingredients that are required for testing. Effectively implement and maintain Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice in the food application laboratory.Train/supervise the Production team in implementing the new products and recipes. Trouble shoot customer problems and address technical co
ncerns relating to the use of our products / ingredients.Ensure all recipes and docu
ments/records are kept co
nfidential and restricted within the premises of the Company.Work closely with Sales Teams to get inspiration for new product development.Perform any other respo
nsibilities as assigned by Management
Job Requirements
Possess a Degree / Diploma in Culinary Nutrition, Culinary Science/ Culinology, Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent from accredited institutions of higher learning. Minimum 2 years of working experience in the Food & Beverage Industry. Have strong and established background in bakery and baked goods application. Honest, pro-active, independent, respo
nsible and have multi – technical knowledge in food application.Creative, outspoken and well-versed in presentation/demo
nstration with a can-do mentality and a team player.Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills.
