Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate CAD drawings, plans and schematics of fire services equipment, including; fire hydrants, fire sprinkler

systems and fire detection and alarm systems or similar building services.

• Detailing of workshop drawings for use during installation of services.

• Assist estimating team with preparation of tender quantity take-offs and tender design reviews.

• Liaise with clients and colleagues to ensure design development meets their requirements.

• Prepare fabrication sheets for sprinkler pipework.

• Prepare bill of quantities.

• Prepare material schedule for ordering. 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Diploma or similar tertiary education in drafting beneficial

• Minimum 1 years industry experience in a similar role. (Fire Services)

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in drafting.

• Exceptional knowledge using AutoCAD 2D.

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD 3D beneficial.

• Good knowledge of Revit MEP beneficial.

• Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, including Excel, OneDrive/Sharepoint & Teams.

• Strong understanding of document transmittal principles.

• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as design specifications, codes and standards.

• Strong time management and communication skills

• Knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards and BCA Code beneficial.
