Job Description

PLANNING

Supports and participates Six Sigma initiatives.Review production scheduling reports together with the production planner. Planner to prepare the plan.Together with the team leaders, sets goal and objectives in terms of safety, housekeeping, quality, PPD, efficiency, compliance, attendance, scrappage, improvement ideas and participation in associate involvement program.On a weekly basis, develops short- and long-term plans based on the production schedule. Determine line capacity, headcount requirement, and overtime schedules to ensure prompt delivery of products to the customer.Renders active support to the department responsibility for complying with ISO 14001 and TS 16949.Prepare annual budget for headcount, overtime, and supplies in assigned cell.Determine and plan out training requirements to ensure that each associate is fully aware of their role in producing a quality product.Plans and implement cross-training to improve line flexibility

LEADING

Coordinates with all support groups on concerns affecting the operation and associatesCalls and presides over cross-functional team meeting for quick resolution of problems.Participate harness review starting with the 1PP stage.

ORGANIZING

Determine and reviews cell layout for continuous improvement.Champion in maintaining proper housekeeping.

CONTROLLING

Review daily line performance in terms of PPD, efficiency, DPM, and moved quantity versus targets and come up with action plans to improve performance.Conduct weekly section meetings to appraise section performance and communicates important information.Conducts audit on all operators in a regular basis to ensure compliance of safety, quality systems, and procedures.Maintains good discipline in the production floor and ensure fair administration of disciplinary actions.Monitors line performance through accurate/complete and on time preparation of production reports.Monitoring of SPC implementation and analysis of trends.

OTHERS

Actively participates in advance quality planning activities.Ensures meeting of sample builds requirements.Initiates cost saving projects.Champions 8D action plan generation, monitoring and closure, including harness containment and sort/rework guidelines.Ensures quarterly calibration of production jigs and CMM tables.Approve DTR, leave forms and employee gate pass of direct reports and dailies.In all areas of responsibilities, the incumbent is responsible in assuring that appropriate safeguards are in place, which have direct impact on the health and safety of associates and the environment.In all areas of responsibilities, the incumbent is responsible in maintaining the highest level of integrity in its business dealings with associates, people and organizations wherever we operate to its highest ethical standards.Performs other related functions that may be assigned by immediate superior for the achievement of the department goal.In all areas of responsibilities, the incumbent is responsible in assuring that appropriate safeguards are in place, which have direct impact on the Health and Safety of associates and the Environment.In all areas of responsibilities, the incumbent is responsible in maintaining the highest level of integrity in its business dealings with associates, people and organizations wherever we operate to its highest ethical standards.
