We are looking for an experienced PowerGen Senior Application Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Power Generation Team based in the Laguna Office. This position will be reporting to the Application Engineering Manager (Power Generation).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
· Apply extensive knowledge of the power market to Cummins’ engineered solutions
· Provide product support and application expertise for the Commercial and G-drive product range (Diesel Engine)
· Deliver engineered solutions by interfacing with our customers to determine their requirements and make informed recommendations wherever necessary
· Maintain technical knowledge and industry best practices to apply to Cummins products
· Investigate market trends in Power Generation product development and competitor movements
· Liaise with the engineering team on matters of new products and development issues
· Provide installation and commissioning documentation for all standard Commercial and G-drive products
· Provide leadership in commissioning activities and troubleshooting in power generation installations including power stations
· Assist in the maintenance of the power generation engine technical library and information
· Review Vendors design and communicate with Vendors on any changes required
· Drafting a conceptional design of Clients application
· Assist in the definition and implementation of application training needs in diesel and alternative fuel products for the Engineering team, Project Managers and the Sales team
· Work closely with internal stakeholders in Business sales and project delivery teams
· Providing support to the Service Team when required
· Involve in tendering and will be working on the tender specification, conceptual design, main equipment BOM, compliance to tender specification checks
· Weekly meetings to update on the project progress
· Travelling to customer site will be required
· Conduct design and installation quality assessment
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience with at least 5+ years of experience in the Power Generation Market
· Good communication skill
· Microsoft Office – Words, Excel, PowerPoint etc
· Knowledge of Auto CAD & 3D CAD is desirable
Compensation and Benefits
