Hausland Development Corporation started as a single-proprietorship company named Haus-Land Assets and Realty in 1986. Mainly operating as a young brokerage firm set in motion by its proprietor, Wilfredo M. Tan, Hausland humbly began from buying of foreclosed properties from Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and Social Security System (SSS).The company took a bold step and started playing a role in urban development in 1992. It bravely developed a 4-hectare property into what is now known as Villa Regina in Angeles City. This residential subdivision yielded 125 lots and was completed and sold in one-year’s time. Despite the slow down in property development in Central Luzon following Mt. Pinatubo eruption, Hausland successfully pursued the development of various properties in Tarlac with the assistance of the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) under its Socialized Housing Development Program. Since then, the company garnered the support and recognition of other financial institutions in the country including the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG) on its business ventures primarily based in Tarlac and Pangasinan. The year 2003 proved as a milestone for the company. It is this time that the company was recognized as the First Kabalikat sa Pabahay Developer of the Year. Returning to its hometown Pampanga, Hausland reaffirmed its foothold to its cabalen through its various projects scattered within the vicinity of the booming Clark Freeport Zone. A decade after its birth, Hausland successfully built more than 3,500 housing units on ten fully developed subdivisions and is ready to take on greater heights as it registered as a corporation in 2004 under the name Hausland Development Corporation (HLDC).
