The Healthcare Industrial Engineer implements and monitors healthcare industrial engineering projects and related initiatives within the organization. Working closely with the Senior Healthcare Industrial Engineer, S/He is responsible for identifying areas for improvement in the healthcare work design, processes, and systems. S/he gathers and analyzes data to ensure maximum utilization of assets (manpower, equipment, materials, and processes) towards efficient and quality delivery of healthcare processes and systems across the healthcare services. S/He coordinates with other departments in the development of healthcare efficiency programs towards developing world-class hospital service.
Furthermore, the Healthcare Industrial Engineer serves as a catalyst to create a culture that continuously strives for service excellence by constantly evaluating existing service efficiency, and by working collaboratively with department leaders throughout Chong Hua Hospital to demonstrate the values and achieve the vision of the organization through the implementation of healthcare industrial engineering projects and initiatives.

A. Resource Optimization / Management Engineering

nal teams.Helps in the implementation of lean management programs all throughout the organization as well as the deployment of appropriate lean management tools and techniques in partnership with various leaders and key stakeholders.
B. Project Management and Coordination

nsible for performing periodic analysis and reviews of performance including identification of performance trends, gap analysis, best performers, and areas of opportunity.Liaises and coordinates with departments on the status of projects to ensure that projects are identified, prioritized and implemented in a timely and effective manner.Provides project timelines to all stakeholders and ensures compliance to planned targets.
C. Collaboration & Teamwork
1. Guides employee actions through one’s consistent practice and implementation of department’s policies, procedures, methods and guidelines.
2. Coordinates and collaborates with department leaders in the timing of data gathering and baseline monitoring.
3. Works directly with clinical and non-clinical areas to understand current operating procedures, develops recommendations/solutions for improvement, facilitates the implementation of those solutions, and leverages data to monitor progress and support sustainability
4. Collaborate with the Business Process Improvement & Lean Six Sigma / Kaizen teams for projects requiring the sections expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in Industrial Engineering function required; Healthcare experience is a plus.Certification in Lean – Six Sigma is a plus.With proven applied experience in Practical Problem Solving Process or project management experience.Experienced and passio
