ROLE OVERVIEW
The Environmental Officer will be assigned to the Railways Right-of-Way, Site Acquisition and Environment Division under the Office of the Undersecretary for Railways and is responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
General Roles: Pollution Control Officer/Forester/Sanitary Engineer/Environmental Engineer/Environmental Management Specialist
Identifies and plans environmental-related activities.Ensures representation in co
nsultation and coordination meetings with local government units, government agencies, etc.Ensures compliance to all co
nditions in the ECC and other enviro
nmental laws or safeguards, including tasks required of a Pollution Co
ntrol Officer.Works closely with the enviro
nment specialist of the co
nstruction supervision co
nsultant (CSC) in the co
nduct of enviro
nmental mo
nitoring and preparation of enviro
nmental mo
nitoring reports.Performs mo
nitoring activities pertaining to Contractors' installation or co
nstruction of pollution source and co
ntrol facilities and ensures their compliance with enviro
nmental laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree relevant to the jobCandidate must have a prior experience in any of the following: Pollution Co
ntrol Officer/Forester/Sanitary Engineer/Enviro
nmental Engineer/Enviro
nmental Management SpecialistCandidate must have at least (4) hours of relevant training.Candidate must be willing to be assigned/travel to different locations as necessary.

Employment Type: Job Order / Contract of Service
Salary Grade: 11, 15, 18, or 22
Monthly Salary Range: 23,000 to 68,000 (depending on the salary grade)
