Packaging Design & Development Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

Supports delivery of identified new product/ packaging initiatives via design and development of optimum packaging material according to defined and agreed strategiesOversee and manage the complete packaging development process, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, packaging costing, and performance testingResearch or breakthrough packaging concepts or trends which may impact new or current packaging designs. Study feasibility to adapt to new or current packaging formats, materials, and designAnalyze engineering drawings. and specifications of packaging to determine its physical characteristics, special handling, labeling, environmentother tasks may be given from time to time

Qualifications

Graduate of Packaging Engineering, or other Engineering-related course, Industrial Design with demonstrated knowledge of product comercializationPreferably with 3 or more years of experience in packaging development (like LDPE, HDPE, PP, PVC,PET, and other materialsExperience in mould design and fabricationknowledge in AutoCADIndependent thinker with the ability to "connect the dots" across previously unconnected ideas to create new combinations of ideas. A highly creative way of thinking is a mustHighly collaborative, driven and self-motivated with a positive attitudeExcellent project management, strong organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team in a cross-functional environment.
