The Role
· You will work on general ship design calculations, including hydrostatic properties. To this end, you will use our ship design software packages.
· You will join a team during the start-up phase and control the design during the engineering phase where you will be in contact with Class.
Qualifications
As a Naval Architect – Hydrostatics you will need to have:
· Technical degree at Master of Science level, licensed Naval Architecture.
· General ship design knowledge.
· Practical experience in hydrostatic calculations.
· Responsible for the stability booklet, including class approval.
· Advise the design engineer or design control team lead on hydrostatics.
· Critical, persuasive, creative and cost-conscious.
· Decisive and structured.
· Team player.
· Capable of recognizing bottlenecks and setting priorities.
· Good knowledge of English, both verbally and in writing.
· IT Knowledge: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, text files, AutoCAD, Rhino.
